Exploring the beauty of Yellowstone National Park Wildlife 2010

Exploring the beauty of Yellowstone National Park Wildlife 2010 from aloha robert on Vimeo.

Yellowstone National Park is the ultimate family vacation and wildlife destination, which may explain why millions of people visit each year. Despite these numbers, it's still easy to plan a Yellowstone trip and find your own slice of the world's first national park. Although Old Faithful is the most well-known attraction, there are more than 300 geysers throughout the area. Yellowstone attractions also include native wildlife such as grizzly bears, coyotes, and bobcats; an active volcano; and the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, a twenty-mile long gorge that offers majestic views.

Sky Diving at Raeford Parachute Center

Youtube user Headcamguycom writes:

"At Raeford Parachute Center, I experienced a tandem freefall from 13,000 ft with skydiving instructor Noah Watts. I was ready to catch all the action with a GoPro HD Hero mounted to my chest, one on my wrist, and yet another Contour 1080p on the other wrist. Rob Pelon also jumped along side me with an SLR camera and an HD camcorder mounted inside his helmet. The sky divers at Raeford Parachute Center were more than accommodating as I prepared my head cams for the jump. Everyone was eager to see how the head cam footage would turn out with head cams mounted in not so common places. I'm sure they will not be disappointed with crystal clear HD video from the latest and greatest. Thank you Tony Thacker and the people of Raeford Parachute Center for your help in filming this unique skydiving video."

NYC - Views of 5th Avenue

Fifth Avenue is a major throughfare in the center of the borough of Manhattan in New York City, USA. The section of Fifth Avenue between 34th Street and 59th Street is one of the premier shopping streets in the world. Fifth Avenue serves as a symbol of wealthy New York and is consistently ranked as one of the most expensive streets in the world. The "most expensive street in the world" moniker changes depending on currency fluctuations and local economic conditions from year to year. For several years starting in the mid-1990s, the shopping district between 49th and 57th Streets was ranked as having the world's most expensive retail spaces on a cost per square foot basis. In 2008, Forbes magazine ranked Fifth Avenue as being the most expensive street in the world.

Pamplona, Spain - Running with the Bulls!

According to Wikipedia:

"The Running of the Bulls (in Spanish encierro, from the verb encerrar, to lock/shut up, to pen)is a practice that involves running in front of a small group (typically a dozen) of bulls that have been let loose, on a course of a sectioned-off subset of a town's streets.
The most famous running of the bulls is that of the nine-day festival of Sanfermines in honour of San Fermín in Pamplona, although they are held in towns and villages across Spain, Portugal, and in some cities in Mexico and southern France, during the summer.
Unlike bullfights, which are performed by professionals, anyone may participate in an encierro."

JAPAN TRIP - Spring cherry Blossom Festival flower viewing 春 桜 満開 桜祭り 花見

Hot Spots in Japan - Travel in Japan
Cherry Blossom festival

Hanami (cherry blossom viewing) has been a Japanese custom since the 7th century when the aristocrats enjoyed looking at beautiful sakura and wrote poems. Sakura is a symbol of Japan, and it's said that there are over four hundred varieties of cherry trees in Japan. The most popular kind of sakura which can be viewed everywhere in Japan is somei-yoshino (Yedoensis). Japanese cherry trees do not yield fruits like other cherry trees.

Hanami "flower viewing" is the Japanese traditional custom of enjoying the beauty of flowers, "flower" in this case almost always meaning cherry blossoms , or ume blossoms
From mid January to early May, sakura bloom all over Japan. The blossom forecast is announced each year by the weather bureau, and is watched carefully by those planning hanami as the blossoms only last a week or two. In modern-day Japan, hanami mostly consists of having an outdoor party beneath the sakura during daytime or at night. Hanami at night is called yozakura .
In many places such as Ueno Park temporary paper lanterns are hung for the purpose of yozakura.

This is Cherry Blossom Festival held in Japanese Chiba Castle.

Good Landing

Youtube user lindseychew writes:

"This is my second flight in the landing clinic, what a difference actually having a light breeze in!
I look for active air over the bend in the stream and find a tiny bubble. The vario is on NETO so its not really indicating enough to turn in.
I like to fly directly over my LZ with plenty of altitude judging winds, obstacles etc.
I choose a spot and a direction and then plan the pattern by working backwards to my position over the LZ. Ryan asked us to shoot for the center of the bull's eye and I see a very light NNE breeze which means flying close to the windsock pole.
I choose a left hand DBF as this gives me a turn to final with the pole on the inside of the turn, rather than a right DBF which would place the pole nearby on the outside of the turn. The left DBF takes me near the trees again and I hear about it from Ryan later.
The bar comes in and airspeed goes to about 30mph, turning left on downwind well over the row of trees.
I keep the speed up turning base then let the glider slow a little in the turn to final trying to line up directly on the spot, the streamer showing dead calm air.

Round out, ground effect with the spot dead ahead drifting a tad left.
Transition one hand at a time, FLARE, WOW almost a no stepper just 3 feet from the spot!
There is no feeling in the world like sticking a good landing!"

Downhill Skateboarding in Washington (Cutting the Cascades)

The comment below the video states:

"An awesome sesh on one of our favorite mountain roads in the Cascades.
It was super dusty so we spent a solid 4.5 hours sweeping the road from top to bottom (3.2 miles-ish).
Our patience was well rewarded with a solid tail wind and speeds excess of 55mph and some of the fastest guys in the northwest.
One of the best seshes that could ever be had! Longboard, longboarding, skateboarding, having a good time."

Backflip over Red Bull KAMAZ truck in Russia

Russian FMX rider Alexey Kolesnikov and Dakar 2010 winner, pilot of KAMAZ-master team Vladimir Chagin accomplished a unique joint project -- 1st ever jump of a motorcyclist over a truck.
The jump was taken at Kolesniokov`s home training base in Kolomna with 2 perpendicular ramps for a cross jump of the both vehicles.

It took 10 days to get prepared to the project.
The ramp for the 8,5 tons KAMAZ truck was formed out of 500 tons of dirt.
The height of the ramp was 2.5 meters, the gap from the separation point to the landing - 12 meters, which corresponds to a height of four-store house, and KAMAZ speed right before the jump was 60 km/hour.
